His Hands for Côte d’Ivoire works alongside our Ivorian partner, Pastor Koumbondohou Ouattara, of Kingdom Initiatives. The purpose of Kingdom Initiatives is to reach the Unreached People Groups (UPG) in Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso with a holistic approach by planting churches and addressing the needs of the vulnerable in the community. His Hands for Côte d’Ivoire's participation in this work is done to fulfill our goal as a ministry, which is:

"to support and encourage the work of our brothers and sisters in Christ in the country of Côte d’Ivoire and to support the ministries of their churches, giving special emphasis to helping with their children's ministries and in supporting children to enable them to attend school. We strive to demonstrate the love of Christ through works of service to these churches as well as to other Christian missions and missionaries in the country of Côte d’Ivoire as we have opportunity - to be God's "hands and feet" and His servants to His children in Côte d’Ivoire."

100% of your sponsorship payment goes toward meeting the needs of the children and the missionaries - none of it goes toward the administrative expenses of this program here in the United States.

Why Côte d’Ivoire? Why should we help?

For the poor will never cease out of the land; therefore I command you, you shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in the land.” Deuteronomy 15:11

Close to thirty million people call Cote d’Ivoire home. The country is known for their hospitiality so, as a result, over six million of those people are from other countries. Many of them are from Burkina Faso, seeking shelter from the hostilities in their home country. More than 75% of the population is under age thirty-five, but only a little more than half of the children in Cote d’Ivoire have access to education. Many of the migrants in the country mistakenly believe they have to return to their home country for their child to attend school. Undernutrition in Cote d’Ivoire is prevalent, making the country among the worst in undernutrition in sub-Saharan Africa. The stunting rate is 30% in most areas of the country, but in the rural areas in the northern parts of the country, that rate is close to 40%. Malnutrition, typhoid, malaria, and meningitis are among the common illnesses in the rural areas in which Kingdom Initiatives is serving. Many diseases are a result of unclean drinking water. Access to water pumps is limited and many of the existing pumps need to be rehabilitated. As a result of all this, close to one out of every ten children in Cote d’Ivoire will not live to see their 5th birthday.

His Hands for Côte d’Ivoire was founded in 2023 when a partnership was formed with Pastor Koumbondohou Ouattara of Kingdom Initiativein Northeastern Côte d’Ivoire. Kingdom Initiatives is helping the children in their areas of ministry through their kindergarten programs. These kindergartens act not only as a firm foundation for the children’s educational journey, but they also provide two snacks and lunch each school day. For a monthly fee of just $20.00 you can sponsor a needy Ivorian child. Your sponsorship will help send them to school and help change their life!

100% of your sponsorship payment goes to our partner in Côte d’Ivoire to provide the necessary funds for the educational materials and food for the kindergartens - none of it goes toward the administrative expenses of this program here in the United States.
