We are a child sponsorship program that pairs sponsors, people like you, with children in need in East Africa. His Hands for East Africa works alongside our African partner, Pastor Stephen Bamuleke and his ministry, Shalom Ministries. The goal of Shalom Ministries is to "glorify God and demonstrate His love and compassion for all people in East and Central Africa through the ministry of the Gospel and holistic transformational programs". When a child is sponsored for $12.50 to $30 per month through His Hands for East Africa they receive:
In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, $12.50 per month will pay for a primary student to attend school. $25 per month will pay for a secondary student to attend school.
In Uganda, $12.50 per month will pay for a primary student to attend school. $25.00 per month will pay for a secondary student to attend school.
In Rwanda, $12.50 per month will pay for a primary student to attend school. $30.00 per month will pay for a secondary student to attend school. The opportunity to attend school can be life-changing for these children!
Sponsors receive a photo and personal information about the child they are helping including information about how to correspond with their child, if they choose to do so. Sponsors can choose the age and/or gender of the child they would like to sponsor and may continue to sponsor the same child from year to year, as long as the child remains in the program. 100% of the sponsorship payment goes directly to Africa. None of it is used to cover the administrative expenses of this program here in the US.
Sponsoring a child in Africa is truly a blessing not only to the child, but to the sponsor as well. If you would like information about how you can sponsor an African child, please contact us. If you would like to view some of the children that are available to be sponsored, please visit our Children In Need to see children in Shalom Ministries or visit our Children in Tender Mercy page to see children in Tender Mercy Church Ministries.
